I tried a bunch of different pregnancy workout dvds before finding Linsday Brin. Of all of the DVDs I tried, hers is heads and shoulders above the other ones. The DVDs are separated by trimesters, giving you a workout tailored to your changing body. In my first trimester I found most other pregnancy DVDs to be too easy, not the case with Lindsay, as a regular exerciser I was challenged without feeling overworked. I also liked the separate yoga section with each DVD. Each workout is 30 minutes which is the perfect amount of time to fit in to your busy day. Lindsay is an upbeat instructor without being annoying. I recommend her DVDs to all my pregnant friends.

I bought this DVD based on all of the great reviews. But I have to say that I wasn’t really that impressed. I thought that Lindsay’s cuing for the moves was way too late, so I found myself trying to catch up and missing some of the reps. I also thought that she was moving around way too quickly for me, and I’m a regular exerciser. I have a decent sized belly at 18 weeks pregnant right now! The music was really repetitious and I got tired of hearing the same thing over and over again. I just wasn’t as thrilled with this workout as I have been with other DVDs, such as Tracey Mallet Fit for Pregnancy, Suzanne Bowen’s Long and Lean or Prenatal fix with Erin O’Brien. It did get my heart rate up but it was more of a frenzied, hurry-up type of state that I was in, and that may be why I was panting!

This is the second time that I’m using Lindsey Brin’s pregnancy videos during my pregnancies. I love the fact that she tell you to do it at your own pace and gives you modification if your not able to do the whole workout. Who really wants to workout when your pregnant, but with this workout video I don’t mind working out at all. She mixes it up using cardio with strength training. The best thing is that the workout is only 25 mins yet you feel great when your finished like you put in a good workout.

  5. I have always loved working out and wanted to continue when I got pregnant with my first child. I was worried about what exercises would be appropriate for me as my belly grew. A friend recommended these workouts and I loved incorporating them into my workout routine! Many of my friends complained of lower back pain, but I never experienced this at all. Lindsay targets the areas of your body that are under stress to help alleviate pain during pregnancy. I felt like I got a good workout, that also helped prepare me for labor. Many people commented that I only gained weight in my belly and I know this was largely because I continued to workout while pregnant! Love this product and will definitely use it during my next pregnancy!
